Why BRZHiFi PCM56 NOS?
One of the most successful, classic, cost-effective PCM56 multi-bit DACs, capable of routing the signal directly without output op-amps or coupling capacitors, elegantly integrated as a matched pair via the now-recognized NOS topology into an ultra-compact, convenient chassis with a highly engaging old-school sound signature. NB: For USB connectivity, this converter requires a USB-to-SPDIF interface, which I will gladly help you select and, if desired, modify!

It sounds clearer, and the texture is much more defined. Especially at the frequency extremes — the bass goes deeper, and the highs are perfectly fine, especially for an R2R layout... But the midrange is just something else entirely! Overall, it delivers a truly mature sound signature.
