What was done
- Multibit R2R DAC on the AD1865, with a rectifier-valve power supply and a triode tube output stage
- All stage power supplies replaced with proper ones; anode and filament supplies radically improved
- The AD1865 and CS8414 surrounding circuitry completely reworked
- Hand-picked output signal capacitors
- Every power-supply capacitor replaced with a genuine part
- Siemens (Germany) valves, matched by measurement — part of the standard build
